see this is the shit i should be reading more often. amanda is dealing with a mental illness while also being the public eye. she’s doing her best and empathy should ALWAYS be the response to someone struggling with mental illness

this is also dangerous as hell because i KNOW someone who has schizophrenia or bipolar disorder (or both) is gonna read this and think it’s ok to skip their meds?? when it isn’t?? like this happens, people w severe mental illness have low and high periods but that doesn’t mean they’re cured or over it. and for her to be taking on all this stuff (such as enrolling as a psych major) while she’s in a relatively high state is dangerous. especially when she’s going untreated for schizophrenia.
