“I think Honey Lemon’s size is pretty disgusting. Yes, GoGo is a refreshing alternative and she has curves. But the tiny size of Honey Lemon’s waist, legs and arms is so unnecessary. It’s especially wrong to present her as a role model for young and impressionable children. I wish Disney could promote average-sized female characters instead, it wouldn’t be too difficult”

there is no such thing as an average sized woman?????? everyone has different body types????? what about young women who are sick, or just built thin????? should they be labeled as disgusting????? what the fuck is wrong with you?????

honey lemon is legit almost six feet tall and very thin if OP actually thinks that is “unnatural” and that women can’t actually look that way they are extremely delusional.

why don’t we focus on the positives? she’s a tall female character portrayed as feminine. most taller female characters are portrayed as unattractive or “manish.” but not Honey, she’s femme and wears heels. I think that’s actually cool.

No no stop!! I’m not quite as thin as Honey but I’m absurdly tall & seeing Honey has honestly made me feel so much better about my height, I’ve always felt gangly & awkward & she helps me to feel feminine & normal. Representation, in all shapes & sizes, is important.

Speaking as someone who is tall (not as tall as honey but still tall) and incredibly skinny, who has often been told she is “disgustingly thin”, I love having Honey Lemon to look at to remind me that I’m not ugly. I’ve spent my whole life hearing about my tiny waist and wrists and boobs and everything else, and never in a good way. It’s always “you look like you’re dying/anorexic/a skeleton.” I cannot begin to tell you how many times I cried myself to sleep because of people like the one who made this confession. It took me almost two decades to even start accepting and loving how I looked (after many unhealthy failed attempts to gain weight.)

This confession is disgusting, and I hope anyone who feels this way about Honey Lemon takes a second to reevaluate how horrible this opinion is and how harmful it is to people like me. As long as you’re healthy and happy and you feel good both physically and emotionally, it doesn’t matter how you look.

And you have no right to call ANYONE of any body type disgusting.

I have to agree with smallherosix. I, as well, am a skinny and tall person, I’ve been mistaken for being anorexic or having an eating disorder a lot in my life. But the thing is, having a high metabolism isn’t fun. And I can’t help that if I eat so much and gain so little. It makes me want to crawl under a rock when someone says ¨Oh my gosh, you’re so skinny, I can snap you in half¨, ¨You need to eat more, you’re so skinny.¨ and so on and so on. AND I KNOW THESE THINGS! I go on the scale almost every single day to see if I’ve gained weight because of people like this.

No one should ever be ashamed of their body, no matter if they are curvy or not. No one should be called disgusting if they do show a lot of bone or not. And it’s the persons choice to do what they want to do with their body, NOT anyone else. Not society, not anyone. There is no average sized woman, there is only the size the woman decides to be.

If the persons body type makes them feel good, makes them feel healthy, LET. THEM. BE. Don’t tell them somethings wrong with them when their isn’t, because a lot of the time, people are still trying to feel comfort in their skin. And calling someone Disgusting because they are not a certain body type that you want them to be is not helping anyone.
